Office, The - Series 1

Office, The - Series 1 directed by director

Approx. running time: 174 minutes
Age rating: 15
I gave this film: 9 / 10
Special DVD features:

  • Exclusive Documentary
  • Deleted Scenes

Overview of this DVD: Hillarious. Very realistic, and very funny. There is a member of The Office in every workplace throughout the world. This is a spoof docu-soap that works. It's not 'laugh-a-minute' stuff, but it is full of gems. You can't take your eyes off the screen, some things are funny by watching their reactions. Fantastic stuff! Here's the official word on the DVD:

BAFTA winning comedy about the Slough paper-merchant where life is stationary...
David Brent (Ricky Gervais) is a petty pompous boss who thinks he's the funniest, most popular man in the world. Pedantic jobsworth Gareth (Mackenzie Crook) agrees with him.

They're both wrong.

Tim (Martin Freeman) rally is popular and funny but the joke is on him, as he's stuck in the middle of their little world - a world in which he hates everything except the receptionis Dawn (Lucy Davis). Will Tim escape? Will Dawn choose the right man? Will MI6 ever call on Gareth to help them out? And will David Brent ever regret letting a film crew into The Office?
